Capitalizing on early success at Mike Royko’s Chicago Ribfest in 1982,Dave Raymond created Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce.  his childhood nickname, Sweet Baby Ray’s has gone on to be the best-selling barbecue sauce in the country, outselling the next seven barbecue sauces combined.


Now owner of a multi-faceted business operation founded in 2005, Raymond owns a barbecue restaurant in Wood Dale. Since 2008 he is also the proud owner of two premier catering companies – True Cuisine Catering and Sweet Baby Ray’s Catering.


Dave was recently inducted into the 2023 American Royal Barbecue Hall of Fame! Dave accepted his induction in the barbecue hub of Kansas City, Missouri alongside family and friends.


In his spare time, Raymond also dedicates a substantial amount of time to his numerous charitable endeavors.
