Staff
Jean True, Founder, Wedding and Venue Specialist
In 1976, Jean True embraced her passion in the kitchen and began teaching cooking classes from her suburban home. During the first four years of classes, the increased response encouraged Jean to expand to a licensed professional catering operation in 1983. While juggling the task of raising three small boys at home, she recalls stuffing mushrooms and baking pastries while carrying a baby in tow. As her boys grew, so did her business and expertise. True received a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Vocational Home Education. She also had the privilege of studying with culinary masters such as Jacques Pepin, Giullano Bugialli, Paula Wolfert, and Monique Hooker. Her experience and knowledge helped her become specialized in French and Italian cooking techniques. One of her joys is taking a group of foodies to France to study food preparation and wine appreciation. Jean True’s passion for cooking and hard work motivates her staff and clientele to host every event better than the last.
Susan McGhee, Weddings and Social Event Coordinator
Susan began working for True Cuisine in 1993 as a server and party manager. Her interest in culinary art and extensive customer service skills assist her in creating completely unique menus and events for all of her clients.
